  2. Introduction Inclusive years of exploration 1519-1521 Magellan was born in Portugal 1480. Spain founded the Exploration. King Charles 5th of Spain sent him. The goal of the Exploration To find a new route to the spice islands.

  3. Exploration The Natives living on one of the islands were the Patagone. He also sailed the Pacific. He explored the shark islands ( also know as Puka Puka ) He Proved that the world was round by sailing all the way around it.

  4. His route All around the World !!

  5. Conclusion and Reflection • People didn't know that the world was round. • There were a lot of unclaimed land around the world. • He lead the first voyage around the world. His ship was the Trinidad. He was a page for the queen

  6. Conclusion and Reflection • Monument of Magellan in Punta Arenas, Chile. Magelhans were three craters that were named after him. • He died on April 27 1521. • He was 40-41 when he died • He died in the battle Matchan against natives.
