  4. Class Created Rubric • Think of the three elements that must be present in a Level 4 paper. • With your partner decide on your top 3. • Write the top 3 on the dry erase board. As a class, we will combine the top three choices into a class created rubric. Copy the rubric on your own paper.

  5. Five Minute Finish • You have five minutes to finish your essay.

  6. Class Revision • Pass your paper to person 1. • Person 1 reads the paper and uses the class rubric to assess. You have five minutes. • Pass your paper to person 2. • Person 2 reads the paper and uses the class rubric to assess. You have five minutes. • Pass your paper to person 3. • Person 3 reads the paper and uses the class rubric to assess. You have five minutes.

  7. Individual Revision and Exit Slip • Read the comments from your peers. • Think about what makes a Level 4 paper. • Use the dictionary or thesaurus to help you in the revision process. • Revise your paper.
