  1. Breakfast in a fast food restaurant A true story

  2. I have just finished my university studies. The last class I had was Sociology. The professor was absolutely full of the qualities that I believe every human being should have.

  3. His latest project was called "Smile". He asked all students to go out and smile at three people and document their reactions. I am a very friendly person by nature and always smile and greet everyone, so I thought it would be very easy.

  4. I had just been assigned that project, when I went to a fast food restaurant one cold morning. It was a place where I could have breakfast and work with my laptop. And I was in line waiting to be served, when suddenly everyone around me began to step aside.

  5. I did not move. . . But terrifying panic came over me when I turned to see why they had withdrawn. Turning around I smelled the horrible stench of human body and there, standing behind me, were two poor homeless. I looked at the short one, he was "smiling"

  6. His sky blue eyes were full of God's light and seeking acceptance. He said, "Good day" as he counted some coins that had been squeezing in her hand. The second man was playing with his hands, standing behind his friend. I realized that the second was retarded and Mr. blue eyes was his salvation. I felt like crying for them, but I refrained myself.

  7. The cashier asked what they wanted. He replied "Only coffee, please" because it was all they could afford. (If they wanted to sit in the restaurant and warm up, they had to buy something. He just wanted to warm up).

  8. At that moment I felt I needed to hug the little man with blue eyes and I realized that all eyes were fixed on me at the restaurant, judging every move I was going to make.

  9. I smiled and asked the cashier to give me two more breakfast meals on a separate tray. I went to the farthest table they had chosen to sit. Placed the tray on the table and put my hand on the cold hand of the gentleman with the blue eyes. He looked at me with tears in his eyes and said, "Thank you."

  10. I leaned over, patted his hand and said "I did not do this for you. God is here working through me to give you hope, your lives will improve."

  11. I began to cry as I walked to my seat and started writing my project. When I sat down my professor was looking at me and said "That's why God told me to come this morning, to learn and see with your eyes, you also gave me hope, thanks.“ He started his class with this true story...

  12. He began to speak about the situation and the reaction of someone (me) that's when I knew that as human beings and being part of God, we share this need to heal people and to be healed. My action had changed the attitude of the people at the restaurant, my professor, and everyone who was in the room at the last class I had as a student.

  13. I graduated with one of the biggest lessons I ever learned: UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE. Let’s learn to LOVE PEOPLE AND USE THINGS - NOT TO LOVE THINGS AND USE PEOPLE.

  14. Many people go in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart. To treat yourself, use your head. To treat others, use your heart. * God gives food to all birds, but does not put it in their nests. *
