Depressed over a friend’s tragic death, 20-year-old Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) painted the solemn “Blue Nude.” Part of his “Blue Period” artworks, and early evidence of his talent, it was one of 20,000 paintings, prints, drawings and sculptures he created in his lifetime.
