  2. Patient point of view: • How do I feel about this disorder? • I can’t play certain sports like football, volleyball, and cheer. I can also go to a camp called Camp Wannaklot.

  3. Patient point of view (continued) • What am I afraid of? • Not really anything. I just don’t like that I can bleed and bruise easily. • Is there anything to be happy about? • YES!!!! I can go to fun informational camps that teach you how to treat your disorder in a fun way.

  4. Patient point of view(continued) • What will my friends think? • They don’t really think that this will affect me. They also try to be careful with me. • How will they treat me at school? • I don’t think von Willebrand will affect my learning and I can be just like a regular kid.

  5. Genetic research scientist • Scientist know many things about von Willebrand Disease. • They know the symptoms and ways to help the disease and much more. • Von Willebrand Disease is usually inherited • Here are some symptoms and facts.

  6. symptoms • Some of the symptoms are ……. • Large bruises and small minor bumps • Bleeding of the gums • Blood in patients urine

  7. More facts • Stay away from sharp objects. • Can not play rough sports • Danger of internal bleeding. • Blood drawn from butterfly needles.

  9. The symptoms can effect my child. • Some people aren`t able to do gymnastics. • They also aren`t able to play football. • You have to be careful with what you do in life.
