What is the New Heaven and New Earth? • “Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.” 2 Pet. 3:13 • What Peter Did Not Say • The earth would be refurbished to be an earthly paradise • The Lord would reign upon the earth • Anyone would inhabit earth after the 2nd Coming • No biblical writer affirms any of these ideas
