  3. L’imparfait Find the stem  take the nous form of the present tense and remove the –ons. Then, simply add the endings to the stem: Je -ais Tu -ais Il / Elle -ait Nous -ions Vous -iez Ils / Elles -aient Miss Sampson

  4. Le conditionnel Simply add the imperfectendings to the infinitive of the verb… (for –re verbs remove final e) Je -ais Tu -ais Il / Elle -ait Nous -ions Vous -iez Ils / Elles -aient NB: These are the same as the imperfect endings, just added to a different stem! Miss Sampson
