  6. 2016 S.A SCHOOLS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP PROGRAM • Registration opened on 12 September 2016 and will close on the 25 October 2016 • Verification of provincial teams start on the 02 October – 25 November 2016 • 07 – 10 December 2016: Accreditation and Nerve Centre operational • 08 & 09 December 2016: Arrival of Chef-De-Mission with athletes documents • 10 December 2016: Arrival and briefing of Medical team. • 10 December 2016: Arrival and Registration of Teams • 10 December 2016: Opening Ceremony • 11-15 December 2016: Participation at different venues • 15 December 2016: Medal’s presentation and different venues • 15 December 2016: Closing Ceremony • 16 December 2016: Departure of teams after breakfast

CHAMPIONSHIPS LOGISTICS TRANSPORT • Athletes, coaches, managers and medical team shall be transported by provincial departments. • Technical officials upon arrival in Johannesburg on the 10th December 2016 shall be transported by LOC throughout the championships. • Codes executive, scouts and technical officials shall travel with respective provinces to the championships. • Codes executive whom their National Federation is receiving school sport grant from SRSA shall be provide sedan by the National federation. • Codes executive whose codes are not getting school sport grant from SRSA shall be shuttled throughout the championships by LOC.

  8. CHAMPIONSHIPS LOGISTICS CONTINUE SPORT CODES RESOURCES • Sport codes shall be provided with a laptop, printer and 3G card for effective and efficient implementation of the games. • Each sport code shall be provided with stationery and sport equipment as requested. • Sport codes requirements will be handed to sport codes on the 10th December 2016 at old Mutual Sport Hall between 10:00 – 12:00 (Clothing, stationery & equipment)

CHAMPIONSHIPS LOGISTICS CONTINUE • Each venue will be provided with Public address system • Each participants will be provided with two bottles of water and one energade daily • Each participants will be provided with lunch pack daily • Water and energade shall be stores at each playing venue and will be stored in refrigerators.

  10. Rugby invitational teams • One additional invitation team from Gauteng shall be included in the championships.

  11. ACCOMMODATION • Athletes, coaches, Managers, doctors, physios, psychologist, provincial security personnel and bus drivers will be accommodated at Wits university. • Each room shall have: Bed, pillow, pillow case, sheet, duvet or blanket and padlock. • LOC, technical officials and scouts will be accommodated at a hotel closer to the playing venues. • All participants will have breakfast and dinner at their respective accommodation venue. • All breakages will be to the account of the Province. • Provinces must provide toiletries for participants.

SECURITY • Security has been provided at residences and playing venues, however security cannot replace support and management of the teams. • Breakages, fights and any matter that falls under security must be reported to the police. • Athletes must at all times be accompanied by adults inside and outside of residences and playing venues. • Team managers will be held liable to eventualities that might happen to learners.

ONLINE REGISTRATION • Provinces are requested to register all participants online. • Online registration opened on Monday 12 September 2016 and will be closed on Friday, 14 October 2016. • Verification of provincial teams start on 02 October 25 November 2016 • All the information must be completed as per online template. • National Federations and school Sport Structures must jointly agree on the list of Technical Officials before National federation register them online. • Participants not registered online will not be accredited. • Athletes, Coaches, Managers and GTM: • http://178.79.188.152/ss2016_winter/index_winter.php • Technical Officials, Scouts and Code Executives: http://178.79.188.152/ss2016_winter/index_winter.php

  18. OPENING AND CLOSING CEREMONY • Announcement shall be made regarding the Opening and Closing Ceremony. This shall be based on the funds available from the Host Province.
