  1. Why is the CPCS Card so Important? CPCS stands for the Construction Plant Competence Scheme. This is a card scheme that is designed by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) to prove the skills of plant operatives, which was launched back in 2003. This card scheme is of great help as it imposes some rules and regulations and requirements, aims to apply common standards for all the plant operators. CPCS is an identification card that shows his/her proof to work on the construction site as he has completed the common standards for the test and obtained the card. CPCS card is widely recognized as the preferred card to comply with codes of practice for competence and certification.
