Experimental Design

Experimental design is a systematic approach to testing hypotheses about cause-effect relationships between variables. In an experiment, one variable, known as the independent variable, is controlled by the experimenter, such as the type of classroom environment (e.g., democratic vs. authoritarian). The other variable, called the dependent variable, is observed and measured, for instance, the cooperative behavior among students. This method allows researchers to determine how changes in one factor influence another, providing valuable insights in various fields.
