Attending a workshop and completing the associated activities, will allow senior staff to meet the mandatory TAA Scheme Policy training requirements to fulfil their obligations as Advisors, Assessors, Discipline Experts, Institute Representatives, Organising Managers and Reviewing Managers.   4. Purpose Completion of this Assessment Activity is necessary to finalise accreditation as a TAA Advisor and/or Assessor

  5. Aims Advisers and Assessors develop a TAA1 Action Plan and obtain feed back.

  6. Assessment Tasks Using the information in the following Case Study prepare an appropriate TAA1 Action plan. Return the Action Plan to Learning and Innovation Unit Supporting resources and blank Action Plans are available at:http://umfweb2.sydney.det.win/mylearningwiki/index.php/TAA_1_and_2

  7. TAA1 Action Plan CASE STUDY - Sharon – new Teacher of Business Qualifications: TAFE Diploma in Business Administration Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training Industry Experience: 25 years as an office manager in a legal practice

  8. TAA1 – Teaching Performance TEACHING PERFORMANCE (TAA1) involves the ability to: • prepare lesson material, • to present up-to-date technical knowledge and skills in an educationally appropriate manner, • and to evaluate outcomes in terms of aims / objectives.

TAA1 Action Plan Assessment Case Study Sharon – new Teacher of Business The following are Comments on Strengths and Weaknesses are from her TAA1 observation. • Sharon is a well organised and efficient new teacher. • She has been teaching for 3 months with no previous part-time teaching experience. • The students she deals with are culturally and linguistically diverse

  17. Accreditation A Statement of Completion will be issued following your attendance at a workshop and completing the associated activities. Your accreditation as a TAA Advisor / Assessor extends to 5 years from completion of the mandatory training. Please submit your completed TAA1 Action Plan to Learning and Innovation.
