  2. Introduction ITSM stands for IT Service Management. Organizations integrate ITSM into their operations by aligning the services delivered by IT to the business initiatives of the organization. ITSM online services aim to deliver to the organization’s customers, potential customers, and the public at large the products and services that they produce satisfactorily.

  3. Disadvantages of ITSM Online Services A lot of advantages come with the ITSM online services but on the other hand, therein lies some disadvantages. 1. All ITSM frameworks are not Compatible 2. Some ITSM Frameworks do not support specific operating systems, web-based services, or cloud platforms 3. Very few ITSM platforms offer good scalability 4. An ITSM service may prove to be counterproductive in the long run

  4. 1.All ITSM frameworks are not Compatible Organizations that use ITSM online services use pre-defined ITSM frameworks of standard processes and best practices to provide an approach that is disciplined and consequently implementing ITSM. Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is famously known as an ITSM framework. 2.Some ITSM Frameworks do not support specific operating systems, web-based services, or cloud platforms This will again draw back to what the organization is already using. An organization needs to ensure that its operating systems, web-based services, or cloud platforms are compatible with the ITSM framework.

  5. 3.Very few ITSM platforms offer good scalability The definition of scalability is the ability of an organization to use a computing process or the production of the computing process in a range of capabilities. Good scalability is key as it contributes largely to an organization’s efficiency, competitiveness, quality, and reputation. 4.An counterproductive in the long run ITSM service may prove to be An ITSM service being counterproductive means that it will not give the organization the results that they aimed at. The ITSM service would hence be a great hindrance to the attainment of the organization’s goals.

  6. Conclusion This presentation highlighted four disadvantages of ITSM online services. The four disadvantages are that not all ITSM frameworks are compatible, some ITSM Frameworks do not support specific operating systems, web-based services, or cloud platforms, very few ITSM platforms offer good scalability and an ITSM service may prove to be counterproductive in the long run.
