WHAT IS MARKETING? • Marketing • Long definition – Planning and executing the conception, pricing, promotion, and distribution of ideas, goods, and services to create exchanges that satisfy individual and organizational objectives • Simple definition – anything that you do to get the product/service in the hands of customers. Satisfying needs and wants. Chapter 1
