  1. Make us a People Who Pray 1st Samuel 1-2

  2. Main truth God’s will is for us to become a people who would daily pour out our hearts and lives in passionate and honest, moment by moment prayer.

  3. James 1:14-15 “Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it give birth to death.”

  4. Truth #1 There is nosubstitute for passionate and honest, moment by moment prayer.

  5. Psalm 121:1-3 “I will lift up my eyes to the mountains. From where shall my help come? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not sleep.”

  6. Ecclesiastes 7:13 “Consider the work of God. Who can straighten what He has bent.”

  7. Hebrews 11:6 “It is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.”

  8. Hebrews 11:1 “Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.”

  9. Truth #2 God draws close, listens to, and meets the needs of people who are committed to passionate and honest, moment by moment prayer.

  10. Colossians 1:15-17 “Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-all things have been created through Jesusand for Jesus. Jesus is before all things, and in Jesus all things hold together.”

  11. Galatians 4:4-7 “But when the fullness of time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.”

  12. Truth #3 God is praised, honored and His work is accomplished by people who are committed to passionate and honest, moment by moment prayer.

  13. 2nd Chronicles 7:14-15 …if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and prayand seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayeroffered in this place. For now I have chosen and consecrated this house that My name may be there forever, and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.
