  1. Registering for Fall classes Please review the following PowerPoint, complete with easy to follow illustrations, to complete the registration process for fall 2013 courses.

  2. Students are required to have a Math, English, and History/Government class every semester! Science is strongly recommended as an elective.

  3. REGISTERING FOR FALL 2013 COURSES (MyCSN) Fall Information • Classes Begin: August 26, 2013 • Registration will begin in April/May, complete your advising as soon as possible to get into your fall classes

  4. Go to www.csn.edu • Click on the MyCSN link in the top right corner

  5. Enter your NSHE ID and Password • If your login information is not working, call CSN at 702-651-5555 to reset it.

  6. Click “Enter MyCSN Student Center” • Click “Search”

  7. Enter the Search Criteria: • Semester (Fall 2013) • Subject and Course Number (Ex. MATH 96) • Additional Search Criteria • Days of course, Instructors and more

  8. Most classes are two days a week, represented by the abbreviations below. • The “Room” represents what campus it is on or if the class is Online. • Pay attention to “Meeting Dates” as some courses only run half a semester. Mo: Monday Tu: Tuesday We:Wednesday Th: Thursday Fr: Friday Sa: Saturday Su: Sunday • Go through the Search Results to find courses times you would like to take. Note the following information:

  9. Be sure to schedule your classes leaving time for your study skills course AND do not schedule classes on Fridays as they will conflict with the mandatory Transition course.

  10. When you find a course you want, click on “Select Class”

  11. It is highly recommended to select “Wait list if class is full” in case another student drops the class. • Click “Next”

  12. NOTE: This does NOT add the class to your schedule. It has only placed the class section into your “Shopping Cart”.

  13. When you have completed “Shopping” for courses, you can view your Shopping Cart to see your available courses. • NOTE: It will not notify if there is a scheduling conflict or prerequisite block on your Shopping Cart selections. Notice the symbols of the class status

  14. To finalize enrollment into the course, select the desired class from your Shopping Cart and click “enroll” during your scheduled time. You can quickly access the shopping cart by going “Plan”-> “Shopping Cart”

  15. You can also enroll your classes for the semester by clicking “Enroll” on the main menu of the Student Center.

  16. Select the desired semester.

  17. Narrow your classes down to your desired schedule by “Deleting” them. • Click on “Proceed to Step 2 of 3”

  18. NOTE: It will only allow you to proceed if it is your registration time.

  19. Validation • Print your final course list for your own records.
