  8. Sly History • Sly was founded in 1874 by W.W. Sly • Primary product was foundry equipment • Sly began their dust collector line in 1899 • Sly had one of the first U.S. patents for dust collectors • Casting cleaning and dust collectors to the 1960’s • Air Pollution Control Focus from1970’s to present • Name changed to Sly, Inc. in 1991 • Sly is still a privately held company – 4th generation
