  6. We have an awesome responsibility … • We need to contribute to positive changes in the local community • Our students are facing a lot of challenges • Collaboration is key to success To help transform the lives of our learners …

  7. The question is how? Embedded practice It is not about tick-box teaching! It is about what we do EVERY DAY in our classrooms which counts!

  8. Which way have the goal posts moved? Gathering and recording evidence: “Inspectors must spend as much time as possible gathering evidence on teaching and learning, observing lessons, scrutinising work (including in pupils’ books and writing), talking to pupils about their work, gauging their understanding and their engagement in learning, and obtaining pupils’ perceptions of TYPICAL TEACHING”.

My advice to you … • Progress and learning are key to our pupils succeeding • Mark students books and provide valuable feedback • Presentation is also becoming increasingly important • Is there evidence of sustained writing? Marking for literacy? SPAG? • Teach how you want to teach • Make it fun 
