This plan outlines the structured approach to the networking setup across our middle school campus. It includes a standardized color scheme for MDFs (Main Distribution Frames) and IDFs (Intermediate Distribution Frames), with guidance on drops for each building. Each connection is labeled using a four-part system: (Building Number)(Quadrant Letter)(Drop Panel Number)(Wire Number), ensuring clarity and ease of maintenance. For instance, "5A23" identifies a drop in the sixth-grade building, while security cameras will be designated with quadrant "Z", like "1Z31" for the administration building.

Labeling • The system is set up to be a four number/letter combination. • (Building number) (Quadrant Letter) (Drop Panel Number) (Wire Number) • No number exceeds 10 so each wire will have four spaces attached to it.
Example: 5A23 • the number five stands for the sixth grade building • the letter A signifies the classroom all the way to the left • the number two is the drop panel that contains the four ports • the number 3 signifies which port on the panel • All security cameras will be assigned to a quadrant letter of Z • Example:1Z31 • Administration building security camera located at the third panel wired to port 1.
