Tensiometers are equipment that measures the tension of water held in soil, indicating soil moisture levels. Different types and comparisons with retention curves provide vital information for soil scientists.

Tensiometer • Tensiometer –Equipment that measures the tension that water is holed in soil. The tension readings are in the range from 0 to 0.80 atmospheres (80 cntibars).
