Journal: Eye Contact Exercise - When practicing your scene, look down at the page, quickly memorize the next line, make eye contact with your partner before delivering line. • Activities/Tasks: • Cold Read Play • Announcements: Movie Reviews are due tomorrow, Wed. Sept 14. • Summarizing Stategies/Activities: Teacher Listening and Observations – Are students able to “glance and learn” one sentence at a time? • Standards: TAM 1, 3, & 7

Journal: When studying your part, it is important for the actor to discover what is in the way of his objective. • Activities/Tasks: • Handout Duo assignments • Practice in Pairs • Announcements: Movie Reviews due today! • Summarizing Stategies/Activities: Teacher Listening and Observations – Are the students practicing effectively during duo scenes? • Standards: TAM 1, 3, & 7

Journal: In improv, the actor must come up with his own obstacles—it may be something physical or a situation. • Activities/Tasks: • Practice in Pairs • Improv Game • Duo Scenes are due Oct 5! • Announcements: Auditions for end of semester play when we return from break. • Summarizing Stategies/Activities: Teacher Listening and Observations – Are the students able to react physically during improv? • Standards: TAM 1, 3, & 7
