Sources: Fatalities - Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) 1990-2008 Final;  Hispanic Origin and Race (1990-1998) - National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS); Hispanic Origin and Race (1999-2008) - Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) Final. Drunk-driving fatalities represent the total number of African Americans (occupants and nonoccupants) killed in motor vehicle traffic crashes in which at least one driver had a BAC of .08 or higher.
