  2. Thesis Pony Express is really important in UT history because this was a faster way to communicate and to send the mail.

  3. Pony express got started… • Pony express was found by William B. Wedall ,and Alexander Majors. • They had this idea because of the civil war and needs of faster communication . • Also they had relays of me with horses carrying saddle bags.

  4. Pony express first mail. • The first day they past through was from Missouri River to the pacific coast. • It was a system that carried mail on horse back across the plains and dessert also over mountains for the far west. • There first time they went to leave mail was in 9 days and 23 hr.

  5. The genius system.. • The pony express called there self's genius because of the way they thought . • They put stations so riders could stop ones in a while to get new horses and get water • Also looking for orphans so just In case they died there was actually no problem.

  6. Job Description… Pony express started to put signs on walls to get more riders They paid them about $25 dollars a week . Also looked for skinny people that wouldn’t be over 18 And had to be orphans.

  7. Miles… • They rode about 75 to 125 miles during the day . • Also the stations were about 10 ten to 15 miles apart from each other . • Also some riders had to ride until anther person came in
