NarayanMurty • IMC Secretary: Dr. CPS Chandel • Date of last AGM/IMC meeting: 20 September 2011 (AGM) • Date of IMC formation: December 2010 • Present IMC members: 13 (5 govt., 6 industry & 2 students) • Work & Procurement committee members: 4 • Loan disbursed to IMC: 2.5 crores • IMC staff: 3 (Computer operator cum trainer, security guard & cleaner)

Progress in ITI upgradation since IMC formation • Initiation from the gram panchyatKasdol to use the primary school building for ITI. • Repair of old primary school building premises, classrooms, workshops • Landscaping and beautification of campus • Procurement of tools & equipments for old trades • New trades for approval (Diesel Mechanic NCVT) • Procurement of new furniture and repairing of old furniture • Increase in enrollments and results • Improvement in knowledge of trainees, extracurricular activity • AGM meetings and IMC meetings (once in quarter) • Website and publicity • Revenue generation activity • Audit and accounts, appointment of Chartered Accountant • Major Initiatives so far • Major Achievements so far • Where we want to go

  4. Repair of old premises and construction of new buildings, classrooms, workshops • Renovation and repairing of COPA lab. • Beautification of entire premises along with plantations • Repair work of existing building was carried out including treatment of roof for seepage of water, repair of cracks, plaster of damaged walls, tiles, doors & windows. • Replacement of broken window panes & glasses, repair of toilets, electric fittings, painting of walls & boundary walls. • Concrete planters on approach path, Septic tank etc. • Construction of toilets for trainees and staff • Construction of tree guards, gardening, flag round • Extension & renovation of Electrical workshop for better light and ventilation.

  5. Trades before IMC formation Electrician and COPA • Procurement of new machines for Electrician trade. • Procurement of computer terminals for COPA trade. • Start of second batch of COPA from September 2011. • Regular maintenance of sewing machines of T&C trade. • Damaged furniture has been repaired. • All the teaching staff provided with syllabus of respective trades along with necessary books for quality and time teaching. (National Instructional Media Institute, Chennai) • Procured all items as per NCVT guidelines for existing trades.

  6. Trades after IMC formation COPA second batch and Diesel Mechanic (new) • Second batch of COPA has been started in September 2011. • DM trade were approved by IMC for initiation in ITI. (AGM Sept. 2011) • Equipment for trades as per NCVT guidelines has been procured. • Necessary documents for NCVT approval for DM will be submitted to DGET through State Directorate. • New furniture have been procured for classrooms and workshops. • Annual maintenance contract for all the machines.

Improvement in knowledge for students Exposures, tours, guest faculty and VIP visits, extra-curricular activity • Mr. Anoop Roy of DB Power Ltd. has visited and discussed the importance of industrialization in India and employment opportunities for women. • AGM organized on 20 September 2011. 25 people were present for the event. • Mr. Sanjay Ganjoo CEO of Bhaskar Foundation visits every quarter and delivers the personality development and self improvement speeches. • ITI celebrated national functions including 15th August, 26th January and 2nd October. • Other social functions organized include VishwakarmaJayanti, GaneshPuja, Teachers Day.

  8. Enrollment and results • 68 applications were received from candidates for the admission for this session in COPA as compared to the 53 of COPA previous batch. • No vacancy in COPA & Electrician trade for year 2011-12. • Thus a slight increase in over all results was seen due to better reputation of ITI getting developed after up-gradation. • There is no change seen in the drop outs during the year in any trade. • Majority of the students who cleared their examinations are now engaged in self employment. • Few of them have got opportunity in higher education for better opportunity & future prospectus. (Polytechnic/BA/Bcom etc).

  9. Annual general body meeting and quarterly IMC meetings QPR, AGM and audit reports are submitted on time to the govt. dept. This meetings are the platform for the discussion for the progress and up gradation issues of ITI. Unanimously all the decision taken by the present IMC members during meetings. • September 20, 2011 (Annual General Meeting) • April 01, 2011 • January 12, 2011 (Annual General Meeting)

Website and publicity • Website has been developed with domain name www. ititamnar.org • All relevant information of ITI will be available on this site. • Student currently enrolled and present staff details • IMC members list • Media coverage, new paper clippings • Status of enrollments in various trades since IMC • Details of trades & courses available in Tamnar ITI • Progress reports and photo gallery for organized functions etc.

  11. Revenue generation activity Efforts are made to initiate revenue generating activities including short term courses and production centre. • ITI provides a space for local community to organize the skill training programs for the men & women empowerment.

  12. Audit and accounts • The auditors M/s V. K. Khanjanchi & Co. of Raigarh were thanked for their services on audit & accounts. • A timely guidance provided to the accounts personal to maintain the records as per guidelines.

  13. Revenue generation activity Efforts are made to initiate revenue generating activities including short term courses and production centre. • ITI provides a space for local community to organize the skill training programs for the women empowerment.

Major Initiatives so far • Decision to introduce two new trades: DM by August, 2012. • Procured equipments for COPA and Electrician trade. • Repair work of existing building and construction of practical room and class rooms. • Cleaning and beautification of ITI premises. • Improved basic facilities like drinking water, toilet and lights. • Involvement of trainees in decision making and implementation of development works. • Maintenance of accounts through accounts assistant and Chartered Accounts. • Procured furniture for class & practical rooms. • Trainer hired for computer training. • Organized cultural programs on the occasion of National days and festivals. • Motivation of trainers and monitoring their teaching. • Regular guest lectures on different subjects.

  15. Major Achievements so far • Initiation of COPA second batch from August 2011. • Repair work and construction of new lecture & practical rooms. • Procurement of branded equipment from leading manufactures like; Lenovo and lowest possible prices. • Increase in the number of trainees as compared to previous batches. • Decision to introduce two new trades: DM by August, 2012.

Where we want to go • Train one & place one • An institute which has atleast 6 trades for skill development for men & women. • A education friendly environment where competition with each other for best position improvement. • All the trainees will be absorb through campus selection (apprenticeship & jobs) in local industries of Chhattisgarh state.
