  2. Purpose Destination Learning Management’s user-friendly interface provides teachers and administrators a single point of entry to select and assign engaging curriculum to students. The integrated report function facilitates progress monitoring and data-driven decision making regarding the ongoing selection of instructional content.

  6. Teacher Login • Login to the Destinations Portal • http://lms4demo.riverdeep.net/lms. • Enter a Username and Password. Click the Login button. • Teacher Preview: • Username: t1-t30 • Password: teacher

  7. Teacher Home Page You are now logged into Destination Learning Management. Explore the sections by selecting an icon.

  11. Explore Content Explore Content - allows one to browse and preview course content. It contains tabs for Math and Language Arts, along with descriptions and grade levels for each course.

  12. Class Roster Class Roster - enables one to create and organize instructional groupings of students.

  15. Creating & Managing a Class Practice: Let’s create a class roster! Select CLASS ROSTER. Select the CREATE tab. Replace the default name of “Untitled Class” in the Class Name field with an appropriate description. Select the appropriate Grade from the drop down list. Select NEXT. The student selection screen appears. To place a student in the class, select the name once and select the green arrow pointing to the right. When you have completed choosing all students, select SAVE.

  22. Creating an Activity Practice: Let’s create an activity! Select the ACTIVITIES icon. Select the CREATE tab. Define the scope of the Activity by selecting the blue arrows and checking the boxes of the desired content. Select NEXT. Select NEXT (again). Specify the Activity name and select the folder to save your Activity. Select SAVE. To assign the Activity immediately, select YES. Otherwise select NO.

  23. Assigning an Activity Practice: Let’s assign an activity! Select the ACTIVITIES icon. Select the ASSIGN tab. Activities are listed on the left side of the screen. Select the plus sign to see a list of Activities. Select the Activity you wish to assign. Classes are listed on the right side of the screen. Select the plus sign next to your classes and select the check boxes to select specific classes. Select NEXT. Enter a Start Date (and Due Date, if desired). Select ASSIGN.

  29. Creating a Test Practice: Let’s create a test! Select the TESTS icon. Select the CREATE tab. Define the scope of the Test by selecting the blue arrows and checking the boxes of the desired content. Enter the number of questions to randomly select for your test. Select NEXT. Select a question number to see the question.

  30. Creating a Test Practice: Let’s create a test! To include a question, select the checkbox next to the question number. To de-select, select the checkbox again. Select NEXT. Type in a name, optional description, and select a folder to save your test. Select SAVE. To assign the Test immediately, select YES. Otherwise select NO.

  31. Assigning a Test Practice: Let’s assign a test! Select the TESTS icon. Select the ASSIGN tab. Tests are listed on the left of the screen. Select the plus sign to see a list of tests. Select the Test you wish to assign. Classes are listed on the right side of the screen. Select the plus sign next to your classes and select the check boxes to select specific classes. Select NEXT. Select a Start Date, Due Date, Pass Rate and optional settings. Select ASSIGN.

Generating and Interpreting a Report Practice: Let’s generate a report! • Select the REPORTS icon. • Screen defaults to Student(s) tab. • Select the criteria for each field proceeding from top to bottom. • Select View Report to view in PDF format or to Print a report. • Select Export to view in CSV format.

  45. Creating and Using Lesson Plans Practice: Explore Lesson Plans Select LESSON PLANS. Select Riverdeep Lesson Plans. Select the blue arrows next to courses, modules, and units. Then select a Session title. Read the Description and select OPEN. Use the BACK arrow in the upper right corner to select a different Lesson Plan.
