INTRODUCTION • PPSW or Centre for the Development of Women's Resources as an NGO was founded in 1986. • The primary objective of PPSW is the empowerment of women, in particular those women in the low social-economic strata of society in urban and rural areas • PPSW selected as its focus a number of issues that are faced by these communities, such as social economic, health and education problems, as the entry point in community organizing notably with women’s groups. • Project Location : 6 provinces, consist of 16 district, 56 sub district.

ACTIVITIES WAS CONDUCTED2006 -2007 • RESULT 1: PROMOTION OF EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS AND STRUCTURES: • Women group and Co-op meeting regular • Local cadre meeting • Area forum meeting • Cooperative annual general meeting • Program and Capacity Building for CBO (women group and women leaders): • Several Trainings : Entrepreunership, micro finance, Personality development, transformative leadership, Democracy and politics, good governance, Workshop on gender issues for women and men • Set up community learning centre : 17 units

Capacity Building for CSO • Net working : • Local, National : ASPPUK, FORMASI, ANMK, MDG’s, E-Net, KOPBUMI • Regional : ASPBAE, SeaPCP, AWCF • Training & Discussion for staff : Leadership, Audio Visual, Human right, Personality Development, Globalitation impact. • Technical assistance and monitoring • Developing Learning Media for grass root people on community organizing process: video, poster.

ACTIVITIES WAS CONDUCTED AND RESULT2008 • Promotion of educational instution and structure: • Regular local community meeting for institutional building of adult education • Women group and co-op meeting, 232 group, 23 coops, 5000 participants. • Local cadres (CO’s) meeting, ± 400 participants • Cooperative Annual General Meeting : ± 3200 participants • Area forum meeting, ± 300 participant • Research on Evaluation of Community Organizing Strategy : 300 respondents • Workshop socialization on research 75 participant

Lesson Learnt • Establish 232 group and 23 coops as places for discuss everything problems in community espcecially to find solution about gender equality in decision making • More than 1,000 women meet with policy maker and proposed input for trafficking prevention, Ecosoc Right, General election governor, Women Right in Islamic, Community Health, Income generating etc. • More than 100 women involved in decision making as head of kampong (ketua RT), vilage council (BPD), vilage irrigation system, school council • Increased Staff capacity in facilitate CO activity • Establish net working at vilage, district, national and regional level

PPSW PLANNING 2009 • Project Title: Women Empowerment and Advocacy for an Adult Edcation Policy. • Goal : Adult education contributes to the women empowerment and alleviate poverty. • Objectives : Effective and efficient change in the structure and mechanism of adult education for women’s empowerment.

Planned Results of Project activities • Adult education provision is improved and adult educators are trained • Partners and networks in the region and in the countries are strengthened in their capacities. • Policy dialogue and advocacy work on local, national, regional or international level to an improved recognition of adult education in policies and budgets.

Activities to Reach the Results • Activities to reach the Results 1 : To Strengthening CBO and CSO capacities, Vocational Training, Technical Assistance and monitoring • Activities to reach the Results 2: Forum meeting in group level, participate in networking activity in national and regional level • Activities to reach the Results 3: Seminar and Workshop on draft adult education policy in district level
