SPEA Career Development Office • Services • FREE- Advice on resumes, cover letters and employment applications • FREE- Mock Interviews can be arranged • FREE- Rooms for interviews • FREE- Use of our copy and fax machine for employment related issues • FREE- Long distance calls for phone interviews

SPEA Career Development Office • Internships • You must complete an internship to graduate with a SPEA degree (Does Not Apply to BSES) • Internship must be approved BEFORE you start • Required forms: • Approval Form • Summary • Supervisor Evaluation • You must be registered in SPEA-V381/SPEA-H466 before you start interning

SPEA Records Office • Can be reached through SPEA 240 • Confers all SPEA minors and certificates • Keepers of your academic record within SPEA • Processes your information for graduation • You may receive emails/letters from them if there are issues or incomplete requirements as you get close to graduation.

Graduate Programs Office • Located in SPEA 260 • If you are considering going on to a Public or Environmental Affairs Master’s or Doctoral degree, consider talking with someone in this office. • They also house and administer the Accelerated Master’s Program (AMP). • AMP • Complete both a SPEA Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in 5 years, rather than 6 • Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 (3.0 for accelerated MSES), and meet specific course requirements. • Allows you to further specialize in an area before starting your career

Contacting Your Instructors • Instructor Offices are located on the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th floors of the SPEA building • Most instructors are assigned to a departmental secretary (located near the glass doors on each floor) • Departmental Secretaries • Provide support for the instructors and can direct you to their mailboxes • Have many instructors assigned to them • Do not know where your instructor is at all times • Can not answer questions for you about your classes • Please, ALWAYS use the contact information provided by your instructor BEFORE referring to a Departmental Secretary
