  2. Moses Inaugurated the First High Priests And Moses took half the blood and put it in basins, and half the blood he sprinkled on the altar. Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read in the hearing of the people. And they said, "All that the LORD has said we will do, and be obedient." And Moses took the blood, sprinkled it on the people, and said, "This is the blood of the covenant which the LORD has made with you according to all these words“ (Exodus 24:6-8). Then you shall kill the ram, and take some of its blood and put it on the tip of the right ear of Aaron and on the tip of the right ear of his sons, on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot, and sprinkle the blood all around on the altar. And you shall take some of the blood that is on the altar, and some of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it on Aaron and on his garments, on his sons and on the garments of his sons with him; and he and his garments shall be hallowed, and his sons and his sons' garments with him” (Exodus 29:19-21). Offer the offering of the people, and make atonement for them, as the LORD commanded." Aaron therefore went to the altar and killed the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself. Then the sons of Aaron brought the blood to him. And he dipped his finger in the blood, put it on the horns of the altar, and poured the blood at the base of the altar” (Leviticus 9:7-9)

  6. Aaron Continued Where Moses Stopped “He also killed the bull and the ram as sacrifices of peace offerings, which were for the people. And Aaron's sons presented to him the blood, which he sprinkled all around on the altar” (Leviticus 9:18). When all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces” (Lev 9:23-24).

  8. The High Priest Continued to Atone Ex 24:6-8 Ex 29:19-21 Lev 9 Lev 23 Lev 16 Heb 4:14-16 Acts 20:28 Heb 9:11-12 Hebrews 10:19-22 1 Pt 1:1-2 1 Pt 2:9-10 Heb 4:16 Heb 10:26 “Thus Aaron shall come into the Holy Place: with the blood of a young bull as a sin offering, and of a ram as a burnt offering. He shall put the holy linen tunic and the linen trousers on his body; he shall be girded with a linen sash, and with the linen turban he shall be attired. These are holy garments. Therefore he shall wash his body in water, and put them on. And he shall take from the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats as a sin offering, and one ram as a burnt offering” (Leviticus 16:3-5).

So he shall make atonement for the Holy Place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions, for all their sins; and so he shall do for the tabernacle of meeting which remains among them in the midst of their uncleanness” (Leviticus 16:15-16).

The goat shall bear on itself all their iniquities to an uninhabited land; and he shall release the goat in the wilderness. "Then Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of meeting, shall take off the linen garments which he put on when he went into the Holy Place, and shall leave them there. 19. The Way: Planned, Built, and Consecrated • He laid the foundation for it: His own self and His teachings. • He created the entrance requirements • He created the laws that would govern it • He created every aspect of it. • THEN He consecrated it • This body is what we were made a part of when we were saved.
