Preparing • Put pictures in the same folder • Remember which folder you put them in! • Don’t worry about arranging pix • Easy to arrange them inside PowerPoint
Open New Presentation • File menu New • Right pane options Blank Presentation
Click to choose pic source Click down-arrow to navigate to location of picture folder
Optional: View Thumbnails • To see small previews of pix: • Click down-arrow by View icon • Choose Thumbnails
Choose Pictures Important First: Click Inside the picture folder Select all: Control – A (Mac: Cmd – A) Or Hold down Control (Mac: Cmd) and click every pic you want to select Then: Click the Insert button
Photo Album Window • Arrange, flip, adjust pix and layout here Flip Adjust Brightness Adjust Contrast
Photo Sequence • Click picture in sequence – preview appears • Click up and down arrows to set position in show
Photo Layout • Picture layout choices pulldownClick here and choose layout
Photo Shape • Click Down-arrow by Frame shapeto choose how pix will appear
Background and Title text • To use a graphic background • Click Browse to choose Design Template • Try ’em out!!
Photo Album Window • Have PowerPoint create your album • Click Create– your masterpiece appears!
Adjust and save • Don’t forget to save your work • Tweak individual slides • To view: • Open your presentation in PowerPoint • On the menu bar, click Slide Show View Show (or press F5)
Choose transparent color Change to shades of grey Change contrast Crop (get rid of part of picture) Format lines Re-color (sometimes) Reset to original Change brightness Flip Compress Open Format picture window The picture toolbar • Click to select picture before you choose an option To show toolbar: Right-click picture and choose “Show Picture toolbar”
Picture toolbar tip • To save space • Click the compress icon • On the popup window choose • All pix in document • Web/Screen resolution • Compress pix • Delete cropped areas • Click OK Compress
