School Improvement Plan Initiatives • East High is a pilot school for LFS Implementation (All core subject teachers 4 days of training & Non-core subject teachers 2 days of training) • All teachers will have all 4 days of training by August 2008 • All teachers will have Acceleration and Vocabulary training by August 2009. • Course Mapping and Prioritizing Curriculum in English, Math, Science and Social Studies

School Improvement Plan Initiatives Cont. • Ninth Grade Academy at East High School • Differentiated Supervision Model in Learning Focused Schools • Extended School Day for students identified by the 4Sight benchmark test as not proficient • Development of a Math Lab that will allow students identified by the 4Sight benchmark test to gain additional Math instruction during the school day

  7. School Improvement Plan Initiatives Cont. • Partnership with PATTAN and the IU to concentrate on the special education population and test make-up • Partnership with John Hopkins University to train a core team in analyzing and interpreting data to make successful curriculum decisions
