  1. Comparitive Analysis of Jurassic Park and A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court James Creavey ENGL121 Section 803

  2. Jurassic Park • Technology can be the downfall of man • Benefits at first • Slowly begin to realize that the containment technology is superseded by the Dinosaurs • Technology will ultimately lead to a self destruction (Chaos Theory)

  3. A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court • Technology initially appears good • Uses it to obtain power for the greater good of 6th century society • More technology than society knows what to do with • Technology ultimately undermines a society

  4. How do they overlap? • One is about the modern era, and one is about the 6th century • More in common than meets the eye • Breaking literary boundaries • They “speak to each other” in that they don’t directly demonize technology

  5. Personal Takeaway • Very surprised with what I found • As I was working through the novels, I was unclear as to what the theme would be • After completing both of them, I started to piece it together.
