  2. What is mentoring? Support a group of 1st Year students through their university transition: • Pre-arrival contact • Meet with mentees in induction week • Organise and lead follow up meetings • Offer support and guidance • approx. 20 hour role over two Semesters

  3. How will I benefit? • making a difference to new students • fully trained with ongoing support • improve interpersonal and leadership skills • boost your CV • boost your confidence • included on your HEAR

  4. Who are we looking for? • Can you communicate effectively? • Are you outgoing, sociable and capable of supporting others? • Do you have good organisation and time management skills? • Are you prepared to commit to a group of students?

  5. How to apply • Go to the Phase 1 Blackboard site • Download the application form • Submit electronically to joe.bloggs@ncl.ac.uk or hand in application form to the School office • Deadline 12 noon Friday 28th February
