  3. Introduction This back safety tutorial is designed to be an interactive lesson on the proper techniques of lifting and keeping your back free from injury while at work. Designed for CPO Corporation Personnel

Section 1 Back injury Statistics • Back injuries are considered byOSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) as the nation's #1 workplace safety problem. • Back injuries are often: • Very painful • A long term or lifetime disability • Expensive to diagnose and treat Section 3 Back to Quiz

  8. Section 2 Proper lifting Techniques • Squat to lift and lower. Do not bend at the waist. • Keep your lower back bowed in while bending over. • Keep the weight as close to you as possible. • If you must turn, turn with your feet, not your body. Back to Quiz
