    • Previous programtargeted students of NCMR researchers: 22 scholars, 16 colleges, 15 states.
    • Goals for new program:
      • 100 scholars spread across US. Students need not be associated with NCMR research project.

    • Compressed timeline: first contact 4/21, online process launched 5/6, application deadline 6/21.
    • Selecting the best 3 students to nominate requires a lot of time.
    • NCMR model is best suited to schools with an external fellowships coordinator.
