On GFD.125 • Released in March 2008 as an information GFD • but is actually normative document, and after reverting CAOPS back to WG we can upgrade to Recommendation • Meanwhile: • RFC5280 has appeared • we have more experience with some elements • key lengths recommendation need updating • there are some pending inconsistencies (e.g. depricated versus obsolete • Goal: update, but with deliberately limited objectives
