She is yet to be traced. Her parents did not even have her photograph, thus making it more difficult to search for her. A similar incident occurred in the same area few days ago when another five-year-old girl sating in the slums went missing when she was playing outside the house. Though

Concerned over these incidents, a city based NGO has begun a project to document children staying in the slum areas. “Usually the kids staying in the slum areas play near the roads or in open plots. Thepossibility of them being kidnapped is more and if the parents do not have a photo of their child, it becomes almost impossible to carry out the search operation. So this Child NGO in Vadodara, decided to take photos of all the children up to the age of 15 years, along with their height, weight and other important details. Helping Hands NGO are soon going to build old age home. This “home away from home” would enable the orphans, widows/ aged persons to lead a self reliant, dignified and secured life.
