Goal 1: Eradicate Extreme Hunger and Poverty • Between 1990 and 2015 AusAid want to halve the amount of people whose income is less than $1 a day. • They want to achieve full and productive employment and decent work for everyone, including women and young people • Between 1990 and 2015, they want to halve the amount of people who suffer from hunger and are being malnourished. • Australia has helped to increase food production and distribution into Asia, the Pacific and Africa.

Goal 2: Achieve Universal Primary Education • AusAid want to make sure that by the year 2015 all children, boys and girls, will be able to complete a full course of Primary School. • Australia has helped to improve access to, and the quality of, primary and secondary education. • AusAid has helped to give children living with disabilities and those living in conflict areas a chance for education.

  4. Goal 3: Promote Gender Equality and Empower Women • AusAid want to eliminate gender difference in both primary and secondary education by 2005. • By no later than 2015 AusAid, want all levels of education to have gender differences eliminated. • Australian Aid has s

  5. Goal 4: Reduce Child Mortality • Between 1990 and 2015, AusAid want two-thirds of the under-five mortality rate.

  6. Goal 5: Improve Maternal Health • Between 1990 and 2015 they want three-quarters reduced of the maternal morality ratio. • They want universal access to reproductive health.

  7. Goal 6: Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases • AusAid wants to have HIV/AIDS and the spread of it stopped by 2015. • By 2010 they wanted to have the universal access to treatment for everybody who is suffering from HIV/AIDS achievable. • AusAid want to have the spread of Malaria and any other diseases halted by 2015.

Goal 7: Ensure Environmental Sustainability • AusAid wants to reverse the loss of environmental resources • To include the principles of sustainable development into country policies and programs • By 2010 they want to reduce the biodiversity loss and the rate loss • By 2015 they want the proportion of people without sustainable access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation. • By 2020 they want a significant improvement in the lives of at least 100 million slum dwellers
