Overview • Ning is for creating your own social network that center around your specific ideas and interests. • Ning offers the latest social networking features, all infinitely customizable to meet your unique needs... • As a platform, you don't have to appeal to Ning for the features you want. If you have the time and the inclination, you can build them yourself. It's the software equivalent of Home Depot… (Freshbrain.org) • Site development uses drag-and-drop tools to place the various features on your page.

Ning Design • Ning has 900,000 social networks. • PC Magazine reported on 3/11/2009 that Ning revamped its website. • Unlike Facebook, which simply has to monitor a single site, the new Ning "activity page" keeps track of activity across all of the sites that a user is subscribed to. • Like Facebook, you can make your Ning profile available to anyone signed into Ning, just your friends, or just members of your social networks by changing the privacy settings.
