Velamentous Insertion Case Study • 33 y/o G2P1 (NSVD x 1) evaluated prenatally at 22 weeks for Fetal Heart Rate Cord Compression patterns. Umbilical Cord Insertion Study revealed a Velamentous Insertion L Fundal Membranes with a Placenta Fundal Posterior location. Prenantal Visits were planned q 2 weeks. The patient was educated on premature labor and fetal movement extremes. ----- At 35 weeks the fetus was noted to also have a Nuchal CordX1. The patient was evaluated on Labor & Delivery for contractions. She was allowed home for a following biweekly F/U ---- Her Marine husband was returning Monday from Iraq. She was induced thurs for FHR changes and Mother’s Day was (Sun). • A NSVD documented FHR changes , Nuchal Cordx1 , and a Velamentous Insertion.
