  2. What exactly is it? • The Nanotechnology Detecto-watch is a device that alerts you when the air around you has bad things in it. For example, it would warn you if there are infectious germs in the air. • This is nanotechnology because it uses molecules as the sensors. The molecules change when the air contains other undesirable molecules.

  3. So what is its use? • The Detecto-watch is technology that attaches to your clothing or watch and alerts you when the air around you is not healthy, and it does this by changing color or giving off an alarm signal.

  4. How will this benefit you? • This will benefit you because… people don’t want to be sick. When the watch detects germs in the air, it alerts you so that you know that there are harmful things in the air, and you can take preventative action. This technology can also help people with pollen allergies, because it will tell them when there is pollen in the air.

  5. Is this available? • The Detecto-watch is not available to the public right now but it may be available in the next three to five years.
