TCM includes two different categories • Chinese Medicine —— Diagnosis & Treatment Put in Practice by Traditional Chinese Doctor, Acupuncturist, Massage, Knead • Chinese Drug —— Used to Cure Diseases Such as Herbs, Plant, Insect, Marine Product or Mineral. The Raw Material from Medicine Shop and Planter/Farm. Chinese Medicine & Chinese Drug, they are Inseparable & Interdependence

  8. Natural Balance (Yin and Yang) Octa-Diagram--------Historical Yin-Yan Theory created by ChineseAncient Ancestor. There are two different diagrams:(1) Innate Yin-Yan octa-Diagram: It was created by ancient divinity—Fu Xi in our primitive Society in unknown years before.(2) Post innate Yin-Yan octa-Diagram: It was created by Zhou wen Huang (256 BC) on the basis of Innate.   20. Challenge of TCM trade However, TCM import was 4.258 million US dollars, meanwhile, export was 4.226 million US dollars from January to April of 2006. The adverse balance of trade deficit of TCM appeared in China at the first time.

In July 4, 2006, three departments, Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China, Ministry of Health of the People’s Republic of China & State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the People's Republic of China, launched a project about TCM “International Cooperation Project of Science & Technology of TCM”

General Aim and Content • Establish Organizations for International Scientific & Technological Cooperation, • International Cooperation of Science & Technology Network of TCM, Establish Dialogue & Cooperation Mechanism with WHO & other International Organizations • Set Up a Special Fund, Focus Priority Areas, & Methods of Cooperation. Initial financial support has been started around 100 million Chinese dollars in 2006. • Establishment of International Committee of Experts, to improve Multilateral Cooperation Mechanism • Attract Foreign Investment in TCM Cooperation.
