Cultural diversity is the spread of culture traits from one area to another in the world.

  5. Create a square • Measure 2.5” from the top of the paper. Mark a point. • Move your ruler across the page and measure 2.5” again. Mark a point. • Draw a line from the left to right side of the paper. • Cut it off.

  6. Create a BORDER • Measure 1” from any side of the paper. Mark a point. • Move your ruler across the page and measure 1” again. Mark a point. • Draw a line from the left to right side of the paper. • Repeat this for the other three sides of the paper. • Decorate the 1” border with a design that represents your family’s culture.

  7. Create your quilt design • Write your family’s last name in the middle of the square • Draw or cut out pictures that represent your family’s culture. • For example, • Foods • Clothing • Holiday traditions • People in your family.
