  4. How do I join? • You’re automatically a member • Your London Met ID card is also your library card • You need to have it with you to borrow material and to use printers/photocopiers

  5. Where is the library? • There are three libraries: Calcutta House Commercial Road Holloway Road • The library nearest to where you are taught has most of the resources you need, but you are welcome to use any London Met library

  6. When are the libraries open? * Holloway Road Information Desk opens at 9.00am We are open during the vacation too – check our website for details.Note: services always close 15 minutes before the library closes – so don’t get caught out by leaving things till the last minute

  7. What can I do 24/7? Use our online services anytime, anywhere... • Renewals • E-books • E-journals • E-payments • Subject guides – introduction to useful resources for your course • Databases – find the e-journal articles you need quickly and easily • Library Matters – an open course in WebLearn that will teach you the skills you need to find quality information sources for your coursework

  8. How can I find the material I need? • By using our online cataloguecatalogue.londonmet.ac.uk This contains details of all the resources the libraries have, electronic and print

  9. How do I take a book out? • By using the self-service machine • You also use the machine to return material • Simply follow the instructions on the screen • Any problems – ask our staff for help

  10. How many items can I borrow? • Undergraduates: 14 • Postgraduates: 18 On top of this, you have unlimited access to our e-resources including e-books You can also borrow up to 2 items from the 24 Hour Loan Collection
