  3. What is a QEP? • Core Requirement 2.12 • 5 year plan to improve one aspect of student learning • Relates to mission statement • Measurable with actionable results • Feasible: financially and physically • Broad-based

  4. Purpose of QEP Steering Committee • To oversee the process of topic selection • Establish budget and timeline • Direct and support the subcommittees

  5. Topic Selection Process • Seek broad-based input • Collect submissions • Evaluate submissions • Research feasible topics • Present final topic choices to stakeholders • Call for vote • Select final topic

  6. Sub-Committees • Publicity and Public Relations • Proposal Collection Committee • Research Committee

  7. Develop Timeline • Submission due August 2011 • Two and one half years for complete process

  8. Next Meeting: • Budget!!!
