Introduction • OpenUP/MDD is a knowledge base or a repository of a set of open process elements. • It is focused on what is specific for Model Driven Development (MDD). • The content is based on OMG’s MDA™ initiative, but adapting this approach to provide a more practical implementation. • OMG’s terminology has been used for avoiding terminology misunderstandings. Made available under EPL v1.0

Objectives • Provide a structured set of MDD engineering and management process elements to enable the successful adoption of MDD approach. • Create a community interested in MDD related stuff for populating the OpenUP/MDD plug-in with best practices on MDD and all kind of information. • Provide open process elements modeled using an open metamodel; UMA until OMG’s SPEM 2.0 metamodel is approved. • Provide a practical implementation of OMG’s MDA™ initiative using a neutral vocabulary and concepts. (Capgemini, IBM, ESI) • ESI’s contributes with the MODELWARE MDD Process Framework content. Made available under EPL v1.0

  7. Actions • Review content of OpenUP/MDD plug-in • Merge this plug-in with any other plug-ins with MDD content provided by contributors. • Populate and complete the plug-in. • Release OpenUP/MDD v1.0 at the same as EPF v1.0. Made available under EPL v1.0
