    1. Environmental Journalism Association MISSION STATEMENT: To organize events and activities that will assist members in learning how to be successful environmental journalists.

    3. EJA ACTIVITIES ANNUAL NATURE PHOTO CONTEST WINNING PHOTO APPEARS IN EJ MAGAZINE ANNUAL ALL-DAY NATURE PHOTO WORKSHOP WITH ACCLAIMED NATURE PHOTOGRAPHER MARK CARLSON

    4. EJA ACTIVITIES “MEET THE SPEAKER” LUNCHEONS HAVE ALLOWED EJA MEMBERS TO MEET THIS SEMESTER WITH: DAN EGAN - Reporter for The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and winner of the 2005 John B. Oakes Award for Distinguished Environmental Journalism. GREG LYON - Producer and writer for National Geographic Channel, Science and History Channel. He has also won the DuPont Columbia Award and 12 local Emmy’s.

    5. EJA ACTIVITIES ABRAM’S PLANETARIUM VISITS – EJA just added this fun and educational activity to our social agenda.

    6. EJA ACTIVITIES MSU POWER PLANT TOUR – This free 2 hour tour is available for EJA members April 7. If successful, it may be added as a regular event.

    7. EJA FUNDRAISING FUNDRAISING is a current hot topic at EJA, since MSU encourages Student Organizations to be self-sustaining. EJA must anticipate and plan funding for future activities to enhance the EJA experience.

    9. EJA Members EJA Members include Undergraduate & Graduate Students. EJA currently has 20-25 Members & is actively reaching out to new prospective student members

    10. EJA & THE FUTURE As the EJA membership graduates & moves into the world of Professional Journalism, it is EJA’s hope that EJA experiences will enhance the environmental stories the world reads tomorrow.
