MOM Pittsburgh • The Mission of Mercy Pittsburgh (www.MOMPgh.org) was hosted by Face2Face Healing, a nonprofit organization, and provided free dental care to our underserved population. • The vision is to establish and coordinate an annual dental mission providing free dental care to the underserved population utilizing volunteer dentists, nurses, physicians, nurse practitioners, auxiliaries, dental hygienists, and lay volunteers.

  4. MOM Pittsburgh • MOM Pgh is a large-scale (50 dental chairs and units) dental clinic where dental treatment is provided at no cost. • MOM Pgh provides dental care to hundreds of the underserved population, many of whom are from working families who do not have access or cannot afford dental care or insurance. • Treatment is provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

  5. Objectives • Relieve the pain and suffering due to dental disease for the underserved at an annual event in Pennsylvania. • Educate patients on preventive measures. • Compile data on the dental needs of the underserved.

  6. Results • 672 Volunteers • Total Procedures 3500 • Diagnostics – 478 • Restorative – 426 • Endodontics – 71 • Prosthetics – 40 • Oral Surgery – 909 • Hygiene – 697 • Oral Cancer Screenings- 879 • Total prescriptions - 283
