  5. that these users have the password how can you change

  6. their password to prevent them from removing themselves.

  7. As far as I know this is not possible. This is also a

  8. very BAD idea. I run a list where some members are

  9. REQUIRED to be on the list to meet requirements of a

  10. group that exists "outside" of that list. The best way

  11. you can deal with your problem (as I have had to with

  12. both Majordomo and Mailman) is to just be sure you GET

  13. all subscription notices. You will be able to see when

  14. they remove themselves.

  15. As to this being impossible, the mailman web interface

  16. provides a very easy way to have mailman send you your

  17. password and this is not something you can disable per

  18. user.

  19. Allow your users to manage their subscriptions (within

  20. the normal limits of mailman) and keep a watchful eye

  21. out for unsubscribes and punish as allowed by law. ;)
