House of Representatives • Elected based on population • Serve 2 year terms, no term limits • Represent a congressional district • 9 total districts in Indiana • 3rd district – Marc Souder • Leader is the Speaker of the House • Qualifications: • 25 years old • Live in the state • U.S. citizen for 7 years

Senate • 2 per state (regardless of population) • Serve 6 year terms, no term limits (1/3 elected every 2 years – continuous body) • Represent the entire state • Evan Bayh and Richard Lugar • Leader is the U.S. Vice-President • Serves as a tie-breaker • President Pro-tempore serves in his absence • Qualifications: • 30 years old • Live in the state • U.S. Citizen for 9 years
