3. INTRODUCTION This Testing Manual provides the administrative procedures and testing requirements for Market Buy product. Destination Maternity Corp. is committed to delivering quality merchandise to its customer. These guidelines are based on the mandate that all soft lines merchandise purchased by Destination Maternity Corp. must have applicable proof of care provided and must meet all applicable laws and regulatory requirements, in addition to ensuring compliance with Destination Maternity Corp. customer satisfaction and acceptability. Destination Maternity Corp. performance standards are used as a guideline for the evaluation of it’s soft lines product acceptability. Most test methods and test procedures are originated from: ￭ ASTM (American Society of Testing and Materials) ￭ AATCC (American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists) ￭ CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) ￭ FTC (Federal Trade Commission)

4. POLICY STATEMENT In order for your product to qualify for the “Market Buy” testing process, it must meet the The approval of the Merchant purchasing the product. The guidelines are as follows: • Style is taken from Vendor line and deemed “wear as purchased” by Merchant • Merchant will direct vendor on the size they are purchasing to be used for the Destination Maternity Corp. Medium • Merchant to approve vendor fit for purchasing – no exceptions • Merchant to communicate all fit and testing related information and confirmation – no exceptions Mothers Work will accept test report's (Market Buy product only) from the following laboratories: • Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services (BVCS) • Intertek Testing Services (ITS) • STR and Certintex (STR affiliate) • ICQ Global • FITI Any exceptions must be agreed to in advance with Mothers Work. For approval contact the Testing Manager prior to submitting market buy testing forms for approval. mkowalski@DestinationMaternity.com Any testing submitted to the above approved labs must be accompanied by the Destination Maternity Lab test request Form; there will be no exceptions. This testing or any subsequent result does not limit Destination Maternity Corporations rights or diminish or remove buying representative or vendor’s responsibilities and obligations under the Purchase Order Terms and Conditions.

5. MARKET BUY TESTING REQUIREMENTS Log onto the Mothers Work Web wwot.DestinationMaternity.com and do the following: • Click on the Market Buy Testing Manual Icon • Click on the separate Market Buy Testing Form Icon (This will open the Word document) • Click File, then save the document to your desk top for repeated use • Read all directions at the bottom of the form • Fill out the form in it’s entirety - DO NOT leave any boxes blank Care wording exhibited on the form should be based on one of the following: • Mill / Fabric Supplier’s testing and /or recommended care for the fabric • Lab testing performed on the fabric if available • If the style on order is being marketed for the fiber (Organic or Luxury) you must provide Mothers Work with the proper certification as proof of registered fiber or Organic processing / fiber AZO Dye: • All market buy testing is required to have AZO Dye Testing provided for each color on order. Flammability • All market buy testing is required to have flammability testing to prove class 1 requirement.. Flammability testing should be requested on all fabrics – if the fabric is exempt – the lab should provide you with an exemption notice on the test report.. AZO dye and Flammability testing can be performed together and reported within the same test report. DO NOT advise DMAT verbally or via e mail regarding AZO or Flame results – they must be reported within a a formal test report – no exceptions. This testing must be provided by a DMAT certified lab. The certified names and locations are listed on the policy statement page of this manual. The lab test request forms are located on the web under “lab test request forms” choose the MH/Pea in the Pod/Oh Baby form. When all of the above information and test reports are compiled please do the following: • Attach the completed forms ( Market Buy Testing Form, Proof of care (either lab test or care label wording document from Mill or Vendor), fiber certification (if applicable) , AZO dye & flammability test report into an e-mail and send it to the Testing Associate and CC you buyer • The Testing Associate will review all information and approve the care wording within the standard turn time. • If any information is missing and the care wording cannot be approved, you will be notified by the Testing Associate and you will be required to submit all missing documentation immediately. Care label approval Turn time: • 2-3 working days from date received *Failure to comply to the above procedure will result in a processing delay. Vendors will be responsible for this delay.
