  1.   Soundproofing For Your  Sony Home Theatre  System- 11 Things To Avoid    There are a few old school methods that you could be following in the hopes of turning your room into a soundproof venue for showcasing movies in theatre style but… Beware! Your mum would suggest that a lot of thick and heavy carpeting is going to do the trick. Do you really think so? She will also want you to take in almost all the old furniture pieces and put them somewhere in your theatre room. This is because they are going to “absorb the extra noise.” Nope! It doesn’t work like that. Ask your Sony home theatre dealers in Mohali and Chandigarh and they would advise you otherwise. You will come across these materials and techniques very often just because they are very much in your face. They are there but this doesn’t mean you have to try them out and waste your time. The worst thing is that if you end up using something that is not meant to be used and fix it at a spot that can’t be altered easily, you will ruin your present space and won’t be able to get the desired effect out of your home theatre system. So say NO to the following: 1. Casings and paddings made out of egg boxes. 2. Plastic window films and similar coverings for your windows and doors.

  2.     3. Bubble wrap is completely useless and it doesn’t do anything to soundproof your room. 4. No more old carpets and beddings in your brand new home theatre room. 5. If you think that thick pieces and layers of cardboard are going to do the trick, think again. 6. There is no such thing as “special paints” to make your room soundproof.

  3.     7. A lot of Sony home theatre dealers in Chandigarh completely forbid you to use fibreglass batts (unless you want your home theatre room to boil and start feeling like an oven). 8. No! No rubber materials or any old mattresses and floor mats (they are just going to look horrible and nothing else). 9. In fact, any type of mattress that you have probably secured to the floor or to any of the walls will have to be removed right away! 10. Dry cellulose fibre is not going to be useful even when large quantities of it are pumped into your walls or floors. 11. Timber sheets are also a big no because they are just going to cause the sound to echo even louder. What you need is proper guidance from the nearest Sony home theatre dealers in Kharar as to how to make your room soundproof with the right materials. Don’t mess with your home after reading half-baked tutorials and watching DIY videos on YouTube.
